Lonefront is Ross Lafayette Hutchens. A relative newcomer to the burgeoning techno scene in Minneapolis, he has nonetheless experienced a meteoric rise in the ranks of underground techno. After about eight months of performing and recording under the name Lonefront he has already played pretty much every one of the best raves and monthlies in town (System, Communion, Black Mass, etc.) Homie came out of fucking nowhere and proceeded to blow minds. His first physical release is not so much dance floor material, but a live experimental modular recording taken from a performance in rural Wisconsin in early 2016. Expect much, much more from Lonefront.

Some of the most perfect melancholy indie experimental pop with shades of bossa nova and even Cornelius that I've heard in a very long time. Great hooks. Wonderfully playful production. Heartfelt lyrics. One of my favorites of 2019.
