One of the best things about living in Minneapolis is having the opportunity to see American Cream perform twice a month. Over the past several years mastermind Nathan Nelson has brought together probably around fifty different musicians for countless one off performances. Each show features a different line-up and a different vibe, but always has an emphasis on live improvisation. Be it a nine piece percussive driven afro-kraut odyssey, three piece synth / saxophone drones, or just straight up free jazz, the performances are always tight, concise and transcendent. Nathan spent the last year recording each performance, and we couldn't be more honored to put a selection of ten tracks to tape.
