The third and final release in our spring series comes in the form of a grooved out exploration of stoned psychedelia, courtesy of Portland's Grapefruit. Over the years Charles Salas Humara has been releasing cassettes of various psychedelic flavors under his Grapefruit moniker. Some more synth based, some heavy on the guitar, others (like his recent Squiggle Dot release), are more lighthearted. Knights Temple finds him channeling the burnt up, fuzzy, down tempo guitar and organ groovers of 70's psych. The whole album conjures the feeling of a dark smoky room in some far out locale, sensations slowing to a crawl in a drug induced haze. At times sinister and twisted, others sensual and raw, this is a tape you'll be reaching for when the lights are low and heads are fuzzy. In celebration of the beginning of summer, MJ MJ is proud to bring you the soundtrack to your next LSD comedown.
